Feb 09, 2011
The 2011 show season started off with a BANG for the Newnham Team! On the 3rd of February a convoy of trailers left Brantford, Ontario on snow covered roads, and voyaged to East Lansing, Michigan to take on the southern competition. The Newnham horses were all ready win and winning was what they did.
FSR Chips Shy Guy displayed a spectacular performance when he debuted in the open trail where he placed 1st and 2nd and received 2.5 points (and now only needs 2.5 points to become an open AQHA champion). He also won the Senior Western Pleasure and was Champion Aged Gelding. Additionally, Kiss n Spice placed 1st and 2nd in the Junior Western Pleasure with Jonathan, and once again out did herself in the Select Western Pleasure placing 3rd with Lynn Flowers. Congratulations to the Flowers on the great success of their horses this weekend!

November 25, 2010
The 2010 show season has now come to an end. I want to congratulate everyone on a job well done! Everyone, and I mean everyone, achieved their personal goals that they had established at the beginning of the year. The 2010 All American Quarter Horse Congress was highly successful and eventful for the entire Newnham team.
This year I also attended the Appaloosa World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas. Riding Valentino Chip, I was 8th in the Two year-old Limited Open Western Pleasure. Not only did I have a fantastic time at the show, meeting some of the best Appaloosa breeders and trainers in the industry, I also travelled outside of the fairgrounds to visit the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, the Cattlemen’s Steakhouse, and the famous McLeddy’s boot shop. As I came to feel right at home with Texas’ rich horse culture, cowboy history, and outstanding food, I soon found myself not wanting to leave.
The next month I attended the final Lansing, MI show of the year where we placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the Nov. Youth WP and the Nov. Amateur WP.
Overall, this year was a huge success. Some clients sold their horses and made some exciting new purchases, while others will be continuing in the 2011 show season with their beloved champions. 2010 brought some of my clients’ wins at the Reichert Celebration, many others year end awards in their respective divisions at the regional level, as well as a top ten in the nation. Currently, KCees Awesome Tee is ranked third in the nation in Green Western Pleasure. There are new people joining the Newnham team for next year’s show season and new goals will be set for the 2011. A complete list of shows I will be attending will be added at the beginning of January 2011.

“Kiss n Spice” and Lynn Flowers showed for the first time in the Select Amateur Western Pleasure at MSU, Lansing and were 3rd and 4th. What a great team they will become. Also “Radical Black Jack” and Jonathan Newnham showed in the Senior Western Pleasure. In a tough field we were 4th and 5th as “BlackJack” is getting back to his good old self and when he is dialed in he will be very stellar. As we exited the show pen Tom Powers said “that is a very very nice horse, good job”. The winner of the class was top 5 at the 2009 Congress and 6th at The World Show in Sr Pleasure the rest of the field were very tough so we were happy with “BlackJack’s” performance. Overall the MSU, Lansing show was very competitive and a great warm-up for the up coming spring season.
Jonathan Newnham has relocated to a new training location. I am now located in Brantford , Ontario and the facilities are a 10 stall barn with a 60×120 indoor arena. The outdoor riding arena is 100x 200 and has an outdoor round pen with turnout paddocks. The facility has a lot of heritage as it has produced show horses since the mid 1900′s . I wish to thank “Fletchers HorseWorld” for the past year of success and wish them a winning 2010 Season. Also i am accepting a select few clientele to add to my program and if you wish to inquire please email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
“Kiss n Spice” Owned by Lynn Flowers and shown by Jonathan Newnham is now an AQHA point earner. Debuting for the first time in Lansing, MI. “Kiss n Spice” placed 3rd under both judges in the Green Western Pleasure in a field of 10, “She looked great!! We are excited to see her progressing and proving to be a show horse. “ replied Michelle Flowers sister to Lynn Flowers.
Check out this video. This was at The 2009 Region 4 Experience in Columbus, Ohio and this was a fun class to show. I also won under all the judges… what a ride!!
